World Digital Completes Terminator
Salvation
It's
been busy for the team at Matte World
Digital. They did the final shot on Benjamin
Button (plus 60 more), then the final big pull
back shot for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and the
final big helicopter shot for Terminator Salvation
(plus a handful of others)! Congratulations to the

Frantic
Films Used Fusion to Create VFX for Dragonball
Evolution
Dragonball:
Evolution is based on the popular Japanese comic
book series created by Akira Toriyama, whose work
spawned best-selling graphic novels, video games,
and a phenomenally successful television series.
The live-action adventure centers on a team of
warriors, each of who possesses special abilities.
Together, they protect Earth from a force bent on
dominating the universe and controlling the
mystical objects from which the film takes its
name. more

Harriot and Mechanism Digital Rock FX for Just
Kait's Video, U
Suck
About
half the video's shots were handed over to
Mechanism's effects team, which used Fusion for
tracking, seamless compositing, and color matching
of several layers.
Upon screening
the finished edit, MTV was so impressed
that they decided to include U Suck in the
videogame, Rock Band, which will be available by
mid summer. The video is expected to be in heavy
rotation on MTV and other music stations. more

Travelogue Releases Filmstripper Plugin for
Fusion
Anatomical
Travelogue has released a plugin for Fusion that
allows you to automatically combine a series of
frames into one output image. Up to 25 images can
be combined in one viewport and arranged as a row,
column, or grid pattern. The central frame can be
chosen explicitly or set at a relative offset from
the current frame. more
