It's Art Magazine is starting
a new challenge called When We Left Earth and eyeon is
sponsoring the competition!
The challenge is scheduled to start September 30 and will end
December 10, 2009. As with previous challenges, artists
will be allowed to enter the 2D or 3D Section.

 Gimmick
VFX Generates The Wild Swans for The Queen of
Denmark
"We are extremely
pleased with eyeon's software, not only because we are very
selective in what we use, but because Generation performed every
task as we wanted," said Bo Christiansen, General Manager at
Gimmick Visual Effects A/S in Copenhagen. "We have been
working on a film called The Wild Swans, based on a fairytale by
H.C. Anderson, in cooperation with the Queen of Denmark, H.M.
Margrethe II. This is a very special project for us and we could
not have done it without eyeon
Generation."

 Encore
Hollywood Builds Unprecedented VFX for Television's
House
Encore
Hollywood created the visual effects for the episode, displaying
a level of sophistication and fine detail rarely, if ever, seen
to this extent on series television. In three separate scenes,
Epic Fail immerses viewers inside an all-3D-CGI world; a world
set in a bizarre laboratory, out of an alternate dystopian
future, populated by strange
mutations.
"These
'Savage' sequences presented us with a tremendous
opportunity to demonstrate what our visual effects team at Encore
can do, and we were excited to tackle this amazing
challenge," says Tom Kendall, Encore Hollywood Executive

Brings Back The Magic With
Fusion
Robert
Rodriguez returns to the kid-friendly genre of
Sharkboy & Lavagirl and Spy Kids with Shorts. This
project uses more live-action environments and CG creature work
in telling its tale of a wishing rock, swarming tiny
spaceships and aliens, crocodile armies, giant boogers, and a
towering Black Box robot.
