 eyeon Helps Celebrate New
Moon With A Puppet Show
In celebration of
the hit movie, New Moon, eyeon's Isaac Guenard and
Michelle Seguin worked as part of Team Spooky to
bring the second part of The Twilight Puppet Saga:
Puppet New Moon, to life. This is the follow up to
the wildly successful Puppet Twilight spoof of
last year (which has had 700,000+ views to
date).

 Prime Focus Makes New
Moon Dazzling
Prime Focus VFX,
formerly Frantic Films VFX, has completed 175
visual effects shots for the Summit Entertainment
release, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, directed by
Chris Weitz. Prime Focus contributed a majority of
the film's most frequently featured visual
effects, including CG water, atmospherics, CG
matte painting and environment work, and the
Diamond Skin effect on Edward and the other
vampire characters. Read more about

 Cafe FX Battles Red
Cliff
John Woo's epic Red Cliff, was made in China
and is based on the battle of Red Cliff. This
battle took place during the Three Kingdoms period
in ancient China, during the final days of the Han
Dynasty.
Several post productions facilities worked
together to complete the 856 shots on a $10
million-plus budget.

 Mechanism Digital Gets
The Dogs Talking
For the advertisement of Broadway
Musical, 101 Dalmations, Mechanism Digital created
effects to give a cute Dalmatian pup an
anxious reaction when he runs into a room and
hears the laugh of the evil Cruella DeVille. His
eyes pop at the sight of her name on the door and
he cocks his head, as puppies do when they're
listening closely. Mechanism easily rotated the
head and bulged the eyes using Fusion's standard
toolset.

 Kenneth Bonde And The
Wild Swans
Kenneth is an artist living in Denmark and
has worked in television for years doing promos,
title sequences, colorgrading, and VFX work. Three
years ago he quit his staff position and started
freelancing, focusing on visual effects for film
and TV series.
We talked with Kenneth about his work for the
Queen of Denmark, H.M. Margrethe II, in
association with Gimmick VFX, on The Wild
Swans. Also, we discussed his work on the iconic

 Prime Focus India Floods
The Big Screen
Tum Mile is a love story set against the
backdrop of the infamous July, 2005, Mumbai
floods. Directed by Kunal Deshmukh of Jannat fame,
the film stars Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan in
lead roles.
The VFX team of 79 artists was led by VFX
Supervisor Ritesh (Ricky) Aggarwal and the look
and mood of the film was set by ace Colorist,
Aashirwad Hadkar.

Software Working Together to Promote Young
Talent
3D Talk Artificial Visions 2009 is being held
by Picturetools in Germany. eyeon Young Talent
2009 is the competition to find young Fusion
artists and reward them for their hard work and
dedication to the craft of
compositing. Submissions to the
contest will be judged according to didactic
and technical implementation. Robert Zeltsch will
be attending the event to congratulate the winner
on behalf of eyeon.

 Weltenbauer Is Hosting A
Free Fusion 6 Workshop
On December 17, 2009, eyeon's Product Manager
Europe, Eric Westphal, will be demonstrating
highlights, new features, and providing tips,
