KLIK! has its roots in its sister festival, the KLIT Multimedia Festival in Gent, Belgium. It was organized in 2004 and 2005 by students of the animation course at the Royal Academy for Fine Arts. 
 
House of Secrets attended the festival in 2008 and thought it would be fun to design and direct the next festival leader. Read the story

Mechanism Digital LogoMechanism Digital Animates the Apocalypse for National Geographic  
 
Mechanism Digital completed 24 critical shots of animation and visual effects for a one-hour National Geographic special, earth Without the moon, that premiered in early February.
Producer Marabella Productions worked with Mechanism to depict the massive global effect upon the Earth when the Moon finally slips out of her orbit. The project was completed in about four weeks with five artists.

Diary Of A Wimpy KidCustom Film Effects Helps Transport Diary of a Wimpy Kid From Page to Screen
 
To create the movie's 200 visual effects and animation shots, CFE Visual Effects Supervisor Mark Dornfeld supervised on set in Vancouver, and brought the film's Animation Supervisor, Mike Murphy, in-house to CFE for the six-month shot production period. There, Murphy and the CFE team worked closely with director Thor Freudenthal to develop and execute a unique technique for animating Kinney's beloved illustrations.

Inside Planet EarthPrime Focus Gets Us Inside Planet Earth
 
Prime Focus Broadcast VFX has completed extensive VFX work on Inside Planet Earth, an epic journey from outside the earth's atmosphere, through the many layers right down into its inner core.
 
The team, led by Simon Clarke, was tasked by Pioneer Productions with creating 23 minutes worth of CG material for the Discovery Channel commissioned project.

Inside Planet EarthBalkan Beat Box 'War Again' Video Composited in Fusion 
 
Balkan Beat Box have a new album coming out on April 27, Blue Eyed Black Boy, recorded in Tel Aviv and Belgrade during anti-Kosovo riots. The first video's out, War Again, and was directed by award-winning animator Paul Griswold, who worked with Syd Garon on one of the N.A.S.A. Project videos featured previously on Boing Boing Video. Read more about the record at National Geographic (they're the record label!).
 
The final shots were composited in Fusion and edited in NewTek's Speed Edit 2.0.

The National Film School of Denmark is a state school, financially supported by the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The school was founded in 1966 by Theodor Christensen. 
 
The school is an art school which means that teaching aims at developing and supporting each student's unique talent.
