Beta Blog Excerpts From The Beta Blog - 3D Stereo with a 2D Tool
 
"Here's a quick trick: you don't need Fusion's 3D engine to get stereo 3D. You can manage it with an instanced pair of 2D tools - so long as they do 3D rotation :-) All you need to do is produce two slightly-different viewpoints, and combine them. It can be faster to render, too."

Nydenion was started nearly 15 years ago as an indy film project. Jack Moik had the idea for the film when he was working as a model maker in the late 90's. Over the years, many artists have been involved in the model shop and in live action shooting. Read more here.

Parallax
A Sneak Peek Into "The Making" of Parallax
 
Parallax started back in early 2009 as a tiny Sci-fi aficionados club that was spearheaded by Ankur Kapoor, who was a Frameboxx student and is now an award winning short film maker.

"Within Fusion, we were able to raise the visual treat by a massive figure and were able to blend in everything before finally rendering around TIFF sequences to go back into edit."

Bejoy Arputharaj - eyeon's Artist of the Month

Bejoy Arputharaj is a passionate visual effects artist and digital compositor who has a great eye for detail. He specializes in compositing for film and television and is presently a freelance artist in India.

We spoke with Bejoy about being a VFX artist in India, working on the film AO, and why Fusion is his software of choice - which makes us, here at eyeon, very pleased!

Jon Whisman - Canyon Dreams
 
We spoke with Jon about his project, Canyon Dreams, a public service announcement to encourage reading. He has been a Fusion artist since the DFX days and it continues to be his vfx software of choice.

"After making the mental shift to a node based workflow and seeing all that I could do with the Fusion toolset, I was hooked with the infinite complexity that became present from this new workflow and methodology."
