"An opportunity to work with eyeon does not come along everyday. I am thrilled to be the newest member of the team.  I have always looked to eyeon as leaders in new and innovative ideas for visual effects and the entire post production community. Together, we will ensure even greater communication and idea exchange between eyeon, our artists, and studios."

Wonder what's happening with the developers at eyeon Software? Visit the eyeon Development Sing-Along blog from Fusion developers.

This is the site where our developers talk a bit informally about Fusion from their perspective. Perhaps they'll point out something new and exciting or simply clarify how to do something. Or maybe, they just want to chat.

Gnomeo and JulietGnomeo and Juliet Fall In Love With Fusion

It's taken 11 years to make Gnomeo & Juliet, which was financed by Disney but independently produced by Elton John's Rocket Pictures, animated by Starz Animation Toronto, and distributed by Touchstone Pictures.

The ceramic garden gnomes and the lush neighboring red and blue Stratford gardens, to be sure, required Starz to raise its game beyond the previous 9. But not before the design team in London did its essential work, headed by director Kelly Asbury and producer Baker Bloodworth.

Axis Animation - EnslavedAxis Animation Enslaved Using Fusion

Axis worked closely with client, Ninja Theory, to create over 12 minutes of cool animation for the premium downloadable content addition to the critically acclaimed game ENSLAVED™: Odyssey to the West™, published by NAMCO BANDAI Games. See it here.

Enslaved Screenshot 1"With the help of Fusion, we were able to pull together our Maya/Houdini 3D pipeline to produce a 2.5D workflow for this 12 minute, quick turnaround project for Ninja Theory. We had a great time on this piece and Fusion just made it all the better!" ~ John Barclay

PS - Be sure to check out their latest piece which has received loads of attention. A recently completed trailer for 'Dead Island' ...if you have the stomach for it!

Laffey TVLaffey TV - Demo Reel

Here's a fantastic reel from Laffey TV. Their team's software of choice is Fusion.

"The removal of the original Hollywood Sign in the Law & Order LA shot for NBC Universal was done entirely in Fusion's 3d system. The snow in the birdman shot is Fusion, as is the replaced sky, and removed FG dolly track. The grass in the brief underwater shot is Fusion particles. The breaking glass CUs are Lightwave comped and beautified in Fusion. The drill in the Prius spot is CG (well, when it falls). The TV that smashes through the window, and glass, etc. are all CG... LightWave comped in Fusion." ~ Joe Laffey

Take a look at the reel here. Marvelous work!

Fusion QuickTip - Shake ModifierFusion QuickTip - Shake Modifier

The Shake Modifier in eyeon Fusion is the equivalent of the ever-useful Wiggle expression inside of After Effects. So how do you use it? Come check out this great little video tutorial from professional film-maker and art director, Jeremy Hughes.
