Territory Partners With
eyeon To Create The 16th
Century
Roland
Emmerich is best known for his ability to make
worlds blow up in fantastic fashions. From
Independence Day to 2012, the director has had a
passion for disaster movies and always ensures a
screen rocking explosion as he destroys the city's
most famous buildings and landmarks. For his
latest film project, Anonymous, the only thing he
wishes to destroy is the myth surrounding William
Shakespeare's writing skills.
Uncharted
Territory and eyeon have teamed up to bring his
latest, and most unique, project to the big
screen. We'll have more on this exceptional
project soon, stay tuned!

to Convert Star
Wars! Lucasfilm,
one of the world's leading film and entertainment
companies, and Prime Focus, the global visual

of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace for

inherent distinguishing characteristics, including
ways of thinking, feeling, and acting, that all
humans tend to have.

 The Unknown Fusion
Connection...Prime Focus Film delivered
86 VFX shots over a three month production period
for this number one US box office thriller,
providing CG snow elements, matte paintings, and
the climactic hero explosion. The film stars Liam
Neeson, Diane Kruger, Aidan Quinn, and January
Jones.
"The
Prime Focus VFX team used Fusion's 3D environment
to place the patches, like the branches of trees
that were otherwise impractical to extract, and
backed us up with integrating the snow/extension
dmps better. We're grateful to the 3D environment
inside the comp package as it helps us cut a lot
of back and forth with the 3D
department.
 Also, Fusion's
tracker was of great assistance in stabilizing all
the defocused chroma shots, and the intuitive
colour correction tools helped the Prime Focus
artists to grade the shots and cut all highlights
without having to generate a lot of mattes to make
the shots look overcast. In addition to this, what
impressed us is the ultra keyer in Fusion which
helped us a great deal in fixing some keys that
were otherwise challenging with
primatte."

Magna
Mana Production Bildbearbeitung GmbH is proud to
announce the release of JPEG2000 for Fusion, a
plugin that allows reading and writing of DCI
compliant JPEG2000 files in eyeon Fusion,
including high-speed color transformation from

Engel at FMX 2011 In Stuttgart
FMX
2011 was another exciting conference where
industry professionals interested in global
production, visual art, and innovative
technologies descended on Stuttgart for four days
of networking, presentations, technical
demonstrations, conference papers, and recruiting
events.
Oscar-winning
VFX Supervisor Volker Engel gave the
attendees a look into the creation of a virtual
16th Century London that was brought to
life for Roland Emmerich's period thriller,
Anonymous. It was an exclusive
presentation ahead of the worldwide release on
September 30, 2011.
