eyeon Software releases Fusion® 5.1 for Linux
eyeon’s universal approach to developing Fusion® resulted in the same performance and interactive user experience on Linux as well as Windows,
with the same rendering results in a mixed OS environment. This approach has significant advantages in the ability to host the same plug-ins
on Linux, including AE plug-ins.
Some facts you should know
Fusion 5.1 for Windows will not run under Wine on Linux. eyeon developed a specific targeted version of
Fusion for Linux. We have also developed our own specific version of Wine to host cross platform
compatibility for such things as plug-ins and to ensure correct operation in mixed OS environments.
RenderNodes will need to have Xwindows installed.
This is a 32bit Linux version.
eyeon is initially proceeding with a selective release of the Linux version. To control the technical and
support issues associated with Linux’s wide variety of distributions and hardware setups, we will be
qualifying the release to studios and artists.
